Naomi Polinsky, PhD

I am a cognitive psychologist with an expertise in children's and families' play, learning, and digital experiences. I am passionate about applying best practices from science into the design of digital media, toys, and public spaces to support all children's (and even their parents'!) learning and engagement, My work in child-focused research spans the last 8 years. I was previously a senior researcher at OK Play, a creative community built for kids to create, play, and share content, and spent 6 years as part of a research-to-practice partnership with educators at Chicago Children's Museum. My research has been published in peer reviewed journals. I hold a PhD in cognitive psychology from Northwestern University with concentrations in quantitative methods and developmental science.
